Saturated Fat is good for the brain and in particular growing children.
The great thing about buying the cheaper mince is that it has a higher fat content.
I did some good old meatball cooking last weekend – bachelorhood for 2 days. I thought I would avoid the lean cuts and just enjoy the fat.

Here we have been conned by the Heart Association and Dieticians once again about lean meat and then cooking with a polyunsaturated seed oil.
The Japanese love their Wagyu beef with all of its marbling of fat. The only issue there however is that the marbling comes from a diet high in grain. That meat has a higher Omega 6 fatty acid component and that is proinflammatory.
Stick with the local pasture fed meats. And enjoy that full fat taste which our grandparents were raised on.
